  • Anonymous data that cannot be traced back to a person, for reporting purposes.

For successful bids and purchases:

  • Payment methods and when the payment has been made;
  • For some lots your date of birth, if required by law.

We may ask for your ID to establish your identity.

5. What is the purpose of the processing of personal data?

6. Whose personal data do we process and how do we obtain these data?

Adugenet technology group plc will not collect and/or process any special categories of personal data from you, such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs.

Sensitive personal and other data, such as creditworthiness, are required only in the case of special lots at auctions, such as aircraft or other expensive goods, in order to ensure that bidders can actually buy such lots, and to avoid problems with payment and delivery. In some cases, we also work together with civil-law notaries, lawyers and bankruptcy trustees in order to comply with the legal requirements for the transfer of ownership.

9.Security of your data

Adugenet technology group plc takes the security of your personal data seriously and we have therefore taken both technical and organisational measures to secure your personal data.

10.How long do we retain your data?

We retain your personal data no longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. After this, the data will be erased as soon as they are no longer required, taking into account the statutory data retention obligation. For this purpose, the legal basis is used as a starting point and the retention period is adjusted to the period in which Adugenet technology group plc needs the data in order to achieve the objective of the processing.

For example, if you make a purchase where the lot is shipped to you, we will share your name, address and contact information (phone number and email address) with the Seller so that the shipment can be made. We will also share your information with the Seller if you have a complaint about your purchase and Adugenet technology group plc has failed to reach a resolution as part of its mediating role. The Seller will then contact you directly. Please note: If your contact details change during an auction, during a complaint or shortly after a complaint is settled, we may provide your 'old' contact details to the Seller if there is reason to believe that this is necessary for the Seller to obtain the rights under the purchase agreement
  • In all other cases, you will be informed if your personal data are to be sent to third parties and you will be given the opportunity to consent to this separately.

For each disclosure, we will ensure that the required contractual safeguards for the protection of your personal data are in place.

12.What rights can you exercise with regard to your data?

 It is after all your personal data that are being processed. You can invoke these rights by sending an e-mail to info@adugenetauctions.com. Requests in which you invoke your rights and will be dealt with within 30 days at the latest. If we are unable to process your request within 30 days, we will provide you with a response within 30 days stating our reasons for not being able to process your request within that period. In that case, we will have 90 days to deal with your request.

Right to information

You have the right to know how we handle your personal data in a proper and transparent manner and what rights you can exercise in that respect. In this Privacy and Cookie Statement, we have therefore explained in detail what personal data we collect from you and how we handle such data.

Right to access

In addition, this right also applies to other personal data relating to you that we process on the basis of our legitimate interest.

You have the right to receive personal data that you have issued to us within the framework of the agreement concluded with us, so that you can keep these personal data in a database of your own or that of a third party. Right to restriction

Right to be forgotten/to have the account removed
